Backstory

It was on that fateful day, on Friday the 13th of May, that one person would have the idea of sneaking into one of the most dangerous and top secret areas in the world.
He was able to dismantle many of the security systems that littered the place and steal the secret vial of fluid that rested in the center safe. He was truly a master thief.
That was, until he was caught a second later. Shocked, the security guard that found him fired at him without thinking but the bullet shattered the vial of fluid the thief held.
Poisonous fumes filled the air. Without hesitation, the thief dashed out of the room, not wanting to stick around... The security guard breathed the fumes in unintentionally and went into a fit of convulsions before he died. Suddenly, a major transformation took place and his skin shredded to reveal a mutant lying underneath.
Returning several months later, the thief was in disguise as a scientist that worked at the area. He found the security guard's body. He had been killed by his friends (again) when they found out what he had become. This however, allowed him to analyze his body and extract more of the chemical, this time safely.
He then released this chemical upon the world...

No-one knew what had happened before it was too late.

There were a few survivors though.
The master thief took these survivors as an opportunity to test out his new idea for a crazy game - the Survival Horror Project!
And these survivors are now battling for their lives against what their beloved world has become!
